Frequency of Cardiogenic Shock in Patients Presented with Acute Coronary Syndrome

Objective: To find outthe frequency of cardiogenic shock in patients with ACS Study design: Cross sectional study Methodology:A calculated sample 240 presented acute coronary syndrome confirmed clinically and/or on the basis ECG and cardiac markers was taken. In addition to collecting basic demographic details were inquired about presence risk factors (smoking status, diabetesand hypertension).The collected data entered analyzed by using SPSS version 16. Quantitative variable form mean, range standard deviation. Results:Out patients, 33 (13.8%) having 207 (86.2%) not. shock, there 21 (8.8%) STEMI, 10 (4.2%) NSTEMI 2 (0.8%) unstable angina. STEMI 14 (5.8%) anterior wall MI, 4 (1.7%) inferior MI 3 (1.2%) lateral MI. Conclusion:Frequency 13.8%. It more commonin ST-segment elevation as compared angina NSTEMI. involvement predominant.
